The company’s history begins in late 1962, when Themistoklis Ambrosiadis, after completing his military service, decided to engage in chicken farming in order to financially support his family. The effort started with a small poultry farm and just a few chickens, at a time when everything was done manually. With a small farm vehicle and the help of his wife, Ioanna Ambrosiadis, the Ambrosiadis company took its first steps in the Greek market.
As the years went by, the company gradually grew, with the Ambrosiadis family investing in production, animal welfare, and the continuous improvement of farming practices.
Today, “Ambrosiadis Olympus Chickens S.A.”, led by Ioakeim Ambrosiadis, son of Themistoklis, is headquartered in Katerini, Pieria, and operates a fully vertically integrated production system. This system covers all stages—from farming and feed production to quality control and processing at the company’s modern slaughterhouse.
